How To Cut Fruit

Ingredients

  • Watermelon
  • Cantelope
  • Orange
  • Avocado
  • Peppers
  • Fennel Bulb or Anise

Instructions

  1. Watermelon, Cantelope, Orange:
  2. Cut off top and botton of the fruit
  3. Stand fruit up and cut down sides of fruit removing rind. Do this all the way around fruit.

To segment an Orange:

  1. After removing peel, holding orange so segments are vertical, make V shape inserts with knife in between membranes.
  2. Pull out segment.

Avocado:

  1. Cut in half length wise all around, pull apart.
  2. Holding the side with the pit, hit the pit with blade of knife and remove.
  3. Cut each half into wedges lenght wise and peel off skin.

Peppers:

  1. Lay pepper on it’s side, and cut down with knife and roll with the shape of the pepper cutting the sides away from the core.
  2. You should have a long piece of pepper and the core.
  3. Cut bottom off the core and discard the core.

Fennel Bulb or Anise:

  1. Cut the bottom off the bulb, discard.
  2. Cut bulb in half and then cut each half into slices.
