Pear and Philo Salad

Summary: Gorgonzola stuffed Poached Pears wrapped in Philo and served with salad

Cooking time (duration): 10 minutes

Number of servings (yield): 2

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Gorgonzola Cheese
  • 2 Sheets of Phyllo Dough
  • 2 Poached Pears
  • 8oz. Lollo Rossa Lettuce or Mixed Greens
  • 3 Tbsp. Vinaigrette

Instructions

  1. Take a poached pear, and stuff with Gorgonzola cheese.
  2. Wrap stuffed pear with Phyllo dough
  3. Using a flat top griddle, saute the Philo until golden brown on all sides, and edges
  4. Prepare lettuce in mixing bowl, adding vinaigrette and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well

To Serve:

  1. On a rectangular plate, arrange lettuce neatly on one side of plate
  2. Add Phyllo to opposite side
  3. Using a Port reduction, add dots on edge of Phyllo
  4. Add extra vinaigrette to center of plate between Phyllo and lettuce.
  5. Serve.
