Warm Romaine Salad with Bacon

Summary: Bacon as croutons on the salad leaves with dressing

Ingredients

  • Half lb bacon
  • One small onion
  • One teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • One table spoon honey
  • One teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Three-four tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
  • Three bunches of romaine lettuce

Instructions

  1. Heat the pan add chopped bacon in it. Cook it for four minutes.
  2. Meanwhile chop Romaine lettuce.
    cut thin slice of onions.
  3. When the bacon is done keep it in bowl. Do not trash the fat remain from the bacon in the pan.

For dressing

  1. The fat which we got from the bacon add Dijon mustard in it.
  2. Add honey into it.
  3. Add balsamic vinegar and switch off the stove.

To serve:

  1. Pour this dressing on the chopped romaine lettuce.
  2. Add fried bacon which serve the purpose of croutons in the salad.
  3. Garnish it with thinly sliced onion.
