Gourmet Mac & Cheese and Talapia Fish Sticks

Summary: Kids’ favorite and Delicious homely meal for the whole family consists of Pasta dipped in a cheesy gourmet white sauce along with crunchy tilapia fish sticks having creamy spicy sauce on it is sure an excellent choice for dinner or for potluck.

Prep time and Cooking time (duration): 25 minutes

Ingredients for Gourmet-Mac-cheese and Tilapia fish-sticks:

  • 1 cup Manchego Cheese
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1½ cup milk
  • 4 Table spoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 table spoons butter
  • ½ lb tilapia fish fillets
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup pancko bread crumbs
  • 4 table spoons mayonnaise
  • 1 table spoon rooster sauce
  • ½ cup cornichon pickle
  • 1table spoon caper
  • 1 packet mini shell pasta
  • Lemon pepper
  • Roasted red pepper
  • 1Bay leaves
  • 1sprig Thyme leaves
  • Fresh parsley
  • 1 lemon
  • Vegetable oil
  • Pepper
  • Salt

Get Ready To Work in “Real Time” to Make Gourmet-Mac-cheese and Tilapia fish-sticks:

Get out these items and utensils: Knife for chopping, 1 frying pan, 2 sauce pans, 1 Pyrex baking dish, tong, 3 large plates

Get from pantry: All- purpose flour, pancko bread crumbs, rooster sauce, Bay leaves, vegetable oil, , Salt, mini shell pasta, Roasted red pepper, Lemon pepper, caper, cornichon pickle

Get from refrigerator: Fresh Thyme leaves, lemon, mayonnaise, eggs, tilapia fish fillets, butter, milk, parmesan cheese,  Manchego Cheese

Pre-prepare the following:

  • Grate both type of cheese in a separate bowl
  • Boil the water and add salt in it

Begin to cook with Chef Simmons:

Prepare Gourmet-Mac-cheese:

  1. Pour pasta in the boiling water and cook the pasta
  2. Render hot sauce pan, add 2 table spoon of water and 1 table spoon of butter.
  3. Add 1 table spoon of all-purpose flour and stir it constantly for 2 minutes
  4. Pour milk into the pan and stir
  5. Add bay leave and thyme leave into it
  6. Add ½ teaspoon lemon pepper
  7. Boil it till it become little thick for 3-4 minutes
  8. Add grated Manchego Cheese and ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese, stir it properly.
  9. Take out the leaves
  10. Lay the pasta on the pyres dish
  11. Pour this sauce on the top of cooked shell pasta
  12. Sprinkle ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese on it
  13. Broil it in the oven for 5 minutes

Prepare Tilapia fish-sticks:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in the frying pan
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both side of the fillets
  3. Dip the tilapia fish on the all purpose flour
  4. After dipping in the flour dip it in eggs
  5. After dipping in eggs lay the fish over panko bread crumbs on both the sides. Repeat this procedure for every single fillet
  6. Fry the fillets

Prepare sauce for the fish sticks:

  1. Put 4 table spoons of mayonnaise in the food processor
  2. Pour rooster sauce
  3. Put fresh parsley
  4. Squeeze 1 lemon
  5. Add pickle in it
  6. Add capers and turn on the food processor make smooth paste

To Serve:

  1. Chop the roasted red pepper and lay it across the pasta
  2. Sprinkle finely chopped parsley in it
  3. Lay the fish stick on the serving plate and pour sauce on it
  4. Lay a wedge of lemon along with the fish stick and sprinkle some finely chopped parsley on it.
