Ingredients for Tortilla Espanola
- 1 big onion
- 1 large potato
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 2 Tablespoon rooster sauce
- 2 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Fresh parsley
- 6 eggs
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Cooking oil
Get Ready To Work in “Real Time” to Make Tortilla Espanola:
Get out these items and utensils: Knife for chopping, 2 bowls, 1 skillet, 1 strainer, tooth picks
Get from your pantry: Salt, cooking oil, Sugar, rooster sauce, onion, potato, black pepper, garlic, apple cider vinegar
Get from your refrigerator: Fresh parsley, eggs
Pre-prepare the following:
- Peel and make thin slices of onion.
- Peel and make thin slices of potato.
- Finely mince garlic.
- Break eggs and Wisk it. While wisking try to incorporate some air.
- Preheat the oven at 450 degrees.
Begin to cook with Chef Simmons:
- Heat the pan and three tablespoons of oil.
- Put thinly sliced onion in it.
- Sprinkle salt and freshly grounded pepper.
- Add minced garlic in the pan.
- Sauté it till onion changes its color to golden brown.
- Lay finely sliced potato in the pan.
- Sprinkle salt and freshly grounded pepper.
- Fill the pan with oil up to brim of the skillet.
- Poach the potato till it is completely cooked
- Drain all the oil with the help of strainer.
- Shift all the onion and potato back into the skillet after drawing all the oil.
- Pour the eggs into the skillet on top of onion and potato just enough to cover them.
- Cook egg through half way for about 3 minutes.
- Put the skillet in the oven for 10 minutes.
Prepare sauce
- Pour rooster sauce in the bowl.
- Pour apple cider vinegar.
- Add sugar.
- Pour 100ml water.
- Mix everything thoroughly.
Make Tortilla Espanola
- Take the pan from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Invert it on a cutting board.
- Make cubes with the knife.
- Put tooth pick on each of the cube.
To serve:
- Lay the cubes on the serving plate.
- Pour sauce on it.
- Garnish it with freshly chopped parsley.
