Zucchini Wrapped Shrimp

Summary: An easy party appetizers which look special, these Shrimp wrapped with sliced zucchini, served with fresh salad and tangy orange Mustard Sauce is sure to impress your crowd.

Ingredients for Shrimp wrapped Zucchini

  • 1 Zucchini
  • 8oz Shrimp
  • 6-8 Chive Strands
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Garlic Clove-Sliced
  • ¼ Cup Whole Grain Mustard
  • 1 Orange-Half for Garnish, Half for Sauce
  • ½ cup of spring mix for salad
  • ¼ teaspoon Volcanic Hawaiian sea salt
  • Salt
  • Black pepper corn

Get Ready To Work in “Real Time” to Make Shrimp wrapped Zucchini

Get out these items and utensils: Knife for chopping, 1 bowl, 1 frying pan

Get from pantry: Chive Strands, Garlic, Volcanic Hawaiian sea salt, salt, black pepper corn, olive oil

Get from refrigerator: Zucchini, Shrimp, Butter, Whole Grain Mustard, orange, spring mix

Pre-prepare the following

  • Take zucchini and cut into thin slices, use a mandolin if possible
  • Wrap zucchini around shrimp
  • Dip chive strands into boiling water to soften and manageable, tie zucchini to shrimp using chive strands, double knot
  • Cut orange in half, reserving one half for garnish

Begin to cook with Chef Pellegrini

  1. Render hot sauté pan, add oil and butter.
  2. Add shrimp to sauté pan.
  3. Add thinly sliced garlic.
  4. Flip the shrimp in the pan when they get little pink in color. Seasoned it with pepper and salt.
  5. Squeeze orange juice into sauté pan.
  6. Add whole grain mustard in the pan and lower the flame. Do not overcook shrimp.

Prepare salad

  1. Put spring mix into the bowl.
  2. Pour olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle freshly grounded pepper and salt.
  4. Toss everything in the bowl thoroughly.

To Serve:

  1. Slice orange half into ¼” thick half circles, arrange on side of plate
  2. Place salad on other side of plate
  3. Lay shrimp along edge of salad
  4. Spoon sauce from sauté pan over shrimp
  5. Garnish with Hawaiian Volcanic sea Salt and freshly grounded black pepper
