Chef Mayra has been in “healthy eating and cooking” industry for over 11 years. She has certifications in Sport nutrition, Macrobiotic cooking, Vegan and 100% Vegetarian, Holistic, and Feng Shui cuisine. She started her career as a cook by learning and experimenting with many recipes from the various cuisines such as: French, Caribbean, Southern, Cajun, West African, etc.
Chef Mayra is trained in the in the classic culinary arts. She had the opportunity and the pleasure to work under two great Caribbean’s Chefs who shared with her the secrets of cooking with the Caribbean Spices and the fantastic flavors of South.
Chef Mayra found unique flavors in each cuisine, hand picked the best tasting components and created her own distinct
“Taste of Heaven” which combines the elements from various cuisines, stressing on Caribbean and Southern.
Chef Mayra’s forte is Caribbean and Southwest cuisine. Like other popular regional cuisines, Caribbean cooking is not only flavorful but also flexible.
Island’s meals rely on basic ingredients cooked in simple ways, which makes Caribbean cooking ideal for Vegan and 100% Vegetarian cuisine.
