Chef Yiorgo has been serving up delicious, healthy meals for the “Power Lunch Crowd” of Las Vegas for 13 years at his famous local hotspot, Sonio’s Café & Rotisserie. Featuring balanced dishes that highlight the lightness of California cuisine with the healthful cooking style of old-world Europe, Yiorgo has built a reputation for himself of being one of the most popular local restaurants in Las Vegas since 1997. His passion for cuisine began at a young age, working in his family’s restaurants. A Chicago native, Yiorgo pays homage to his roots in all of his dishes in style, quality and presentation. Yiorgo’s style of producing a menu that provides healthy choices for every-day eating is a dramatic departure from the strip-dining experiences most often tied to Las Vegas cuisine.

“People can appreciate an extravagant meal on the strip in a lavish restaurant, but when they are choosing a dietary plan for their everyday; healthy, light and delicious is almost always the preference” says Yiorgo.

Sonio’s Café has received overwhelming reviews and acclaim in the Las Vegas area having received the Las Vegas Review Journal’s “Best in Las Vegas” title many years. Yiorgo features menu items designed around a simple theme: healthy, delicious food at good prices. Rotisserie chicken is the main theme that he likes to use in his menu items, bringing simple ingredients to explosive flavor combinations giving a new meaning to “comfort food”.

Yiorgo states, “Our clientele is diverse, and many parents bring their children into our establishment You’d be surprised how quickly a child will take to the interesting simple flavors of our food in combinations that you wouldn’t imagine they would love.” Citing the Sweetness of the Chinese Chicken Salad, and the simplicity of his California Pita Roll Sandwiches, both healthy and delicious alternatives to greasy fast food equivalents of sub sandwiches and frozen foods.

“You would be shocked at the amount of restaurants who use frozen foods that are simply reheated and added to a plate. Our entire menu is created from scratch every day from the salad dressing to the salsas, we make it all!”
